Taoyuan Airport prepares for 1.16M Lunar New Year travelers
Taoyuan International Airport expects to handle 1.16 million passengers during the Lunar New Year holiday. To avoid congestion at security checkpoints, passengers are advised to arrive three hours before their flights. Terminal 1 will open eight security checkpoints, while Terminal 2 has 11 regular checkpoints and one for staff. The peak travel periods are Feb. 8-11 and Feb. 13, with daily passenger volume expected to exceed 130,000. This is a recovery to 90% of the pre-pandemic daily average in 2019. Changhua reports 5 OHCA cases amid extreme cold wave
The Fire Bureau of Changhua County reported 53 emergency medical cases in the last 24 hours, including five instances of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA), possibly linked to a sudden dip in temperatures due to an extreme cold wave in Taiwan. The OHCA victims, aged 65 to 87, had yet to have the exact causes determined. Although the number of emergency cases is consistent with the daily average of 54, the number of non-responsive patients increased from three to five. The CHFD advises older adults, those with cardiovascular diseases, and others susceptible to cold weather to dress warmly. Ruentex Development’s new property breaks records
Ruentex Development Co.’s new real estate property, ’Ruentex Yangbei (潤泰央北),’ in New Taipei City attracted hundreds of buyers who queued up for up to two hours to view the three homes up for sale. The property, located in the readjustment Yangbei district, set a new record for the highest price per ping in the area, with homes selling for over NT$900,000 per ping after negotiations. Each Ruentex Yangbei property is priced between NT$25.92 million and NT$29.52 million, with an average unit price of around NT$720,000 per ping. Situated at the intersection of Sixin First Road and Yangbei Second Road in Xindian, the property consists of three underground floors and 20 above-ground floors, housing a total of 185 units. Despite concerns about a cooling property sector, the strong demand for these properties since their launch in 2021 has surprised many. THSR apologizes for massive crowds at Taichung station
